The first term of the 2016-17 academic year at St. Benedict’s ended this week. The community marked the occasion with an Olympic style competition between the groups. Click HERE to see a selection of photos from the day’s activities.
Hundreds turned out for the annual Monkfest on the grounds of Newark Abbey today. At this decades-old tradition the grounds of the monastery are open to the community to celebrate with a picnic and performances. Click HERE for more photos at scanmanphotos.com.
A record number of freshmen took part in the overnight for class of 2020. They completed their week-long orientation yesterday. The full gallery of the week’s activities can be followed by clicking HERE.
St. Benedict’s Prep freshmen and transfer students took part in Appalachian Trail project for Spring Phase. In total about 180 students and student leaders participated in this month-long event, culminating with the 5 day, 55 mile hike through the New Jersey section of the AT from High Point State Park to the Delaware Water Gap. As the spring baseball season winds down at St. Benedict’s Prep, the Gray Bee baseball team fell to Montclair Kimberly Academy. Nonetheless, the squad put up a good fight today.
